It's time for the annual Stocking Stuffers collection, organized by the 3rd graders, along with the parish religious formation students. We are collecting new tube socks, granola bars, candy (extra Halloween candy works great!), small bags of pretzels, fish crackers, fruit snacks, etc. Students can bring the items in to their classrooms until Monday, November 15. Then the 3rd graders will stuff the collected items into the socks, so they can be donated to the Full Shelf Food Pantry. Thank you for your help!
Dear Families,
Saint Frances Cabrini School recognizes the importance of overall wellness. We have created monthly challenges that will encourage you to spend time together as a family, and that will help to grow and support the mission of our school. We want to encourage the efforts of families working together to become well in all aspects of life. Use this month's calendar as a way to bond, to explore the many things we can be grateful for, and to HAVE FUN!!
November's monthly challenge is the Gratitude Challenge. This will challenge you to think of the many reasons to be grateful to God. Each day has a unique task for your family to do together. Complete at least 25 of the tasks during the month, and then turn in your calendar by Dec 5th to be entered into a drawing to win a beautiful Kin+Ore cutting board.

Our 7th/8th grade girls volleyball team had their first set of games over the weekend. They lost the first match, but had very close, competitive games, and won the 2nd match - all 3 games!
Highlights from those games:
6th grade had a clean sweep with winning all three. They cheered for each other and really worked together as a team. Great work ladies!
5th grade had some great learning opportunities with their games this past weekend and Monday. The wins came from strong serving! Keep up the learning girls!

Let all of our school and parish families join together in prayer in these days leading up to the Feast of Saint Joseph the Worker for a growth in enrollment in our school, our early childhood programming, and our family faith formation programming. We will only accomplish a growth in our faith communities through earnest prayer and devotion. Saint Joseph, Pray for Us!
The Novena to Saint Joseph the Worker for a growth in our enrollment begins April 23rd and concludes on May 1st. Please see the text and instructions of the novena prayer. My thanks to everyone for praying for our growth.”
Father Nathan
Spring Novena for a Growth in Enrollment/Novena Prayer to Saint Joseph the Worker/Begins on April 23rd and ends on May 1st
1. Pray one Rosary each day (how to pray the rosary).
2. At the conclusion of the Rosary, pray the following prayer:
Joseph, by the work of your hands and the sweat of your brow, you supported Jesus and Mary, and had the Son of God as your fellow worker. Teach me to work as you did, with patience and perseverance, for God and for those whom God has given me to support. Teach me to see in my fellow workers the Christ who desires to be in them, that I may always be charitable and forbearing towards all. Grant me to look upon work with the eyes of faith, so that I shall recognize in it my share in God's own creative activity and in Christ's work of our redemption, and so take pride in it. When it is pleasant and productive, remind me to give thanks to God for it. And when it is burdensome, teach me to offer it to God, in reparation for my sins and the sins of the world.
Novena Prayer
O good father Joseph! I beg you, by all your sufferings, sorrows and joys, to obtain for me what I ask.
(Here name your petition). [an increase in enrollment for our school and formation programs]
Obtain for all those who have asked my prayers, everything that is useful to them in the plan of God. Be near to me in my last moments that I may eternally sing the praises of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Amen.
3. Pray one additional Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be.
